KEEP IT TOGETHER. One of our favorite in-the-hoop projects to do here at Anita Goodesign are zippered bags. They’re versatile, fun, and can come in nearly any shape and size! For this month’s project, we’re showing you exactly how it’s done, and giving you several fun bags to create! Did you know you could make a zippered bag that resembles a bag of popcorn, or even a shoe? Well we have, and now so can you!
IT’S IN THE BAG. One thing that makes these zipper bags so fun is their pop art style and bright colors! We used a variety of fabrics such as cotton, twill, and glitter vinyl in vibrant colors to make each bag really pop and stand out! To stitch your bag, first load and stitch the file for your chosen bag that ends with “A”, which will be the front of your bag. Once stitched, set it to the side, then stitch the coordinating bag file that ends with “B”. This will create the back of the bag, which features the zipper and attaches the front of the bag.
